Picture this: supermarket aisles sprawling before you, filled to the brim with every conceivable treat for your pet, yet nothing stands out. This was my reality back in 2012, which sparked a lightbulb moment – why shouldn’t dogs have their version of a muffin, a doggy Woofin, to enjoy? That thought was all the motivation I needed. With a dash of creativity and a pinch of love, I baked the first-ever batch of Woofins in my kitchen. It was evident from Spot's ecstatic reaction; we were onto something remarkable.

From Kitchen Capers to Woofin' Wonders

The journey from baking in my humble kitchen to now operating out of our own manufacturing plant has been nothing short of a rollercoaster made of dough, frosting, and dreams. Today, The Barking Bakery is a thriving testament to what passion and persistence can bake up. Our delights such as Woofins, pupcorn, and pawty cakes have found their way onto the shelves of prominent pet outlets like Pets at Home, Occado, and The Range. Not to mention the cosy dog-friendly hotels, bustling cafes, and serene garden centres that also celebrate our treats.

Despite our growth and the number of orders that keep our ovens warm, I remain deeply involved. With flour on my apron and a beater in hand, I’m still as hands-on as ever. My team, as phenomenal as they are, believes that the sky’s the limit. We’re continuously dreaming up new treats to exit our ovens – each one guaranteed to be pawsitively sensational.
